The good news is I'm at the point where I need to trim, add a pre-loader and credits. There's still quite a bit to go for the whole video series, but there's definitely enough for a quick clip.

There's been quite a few learning experiences. Nesting techniques are awesome not just for lip sync, but also for expressions. I've nested expressions in the eyes for blinking, emphasis, anger, and looking to the side.

Once the graphics have been converted into symbols and nested into place, all I need to do is change the symbol number in properties to change the expression, and make Goldie (shown) talk.

The really hard part at this rate is breaking up Goldie's talking head monologues with graphics. I've had to rely a lot on hand drawn stills and Photoshop to save time.

The big learning experience this week is realizing Flash sucks for really cool text. I found drop shadows, bevel and embossing in filters (many thanks to the Newgrounds tutorials, which is how I found it). However, to really stack up the text effects, it looks like I'm going to have to rely on Photoshop and Illustrator, then import.
